There are commonly used evaluation indicators that demonstrate effective academic programs. The indicators that we have provided are not an all inclusive list, but are meant to enhance grant evaluation and program evaluation. Characteristics or indicators are listed by program theme and include the name of the independent studies from which the information was gathered. Much of this information is taken from the Center for What Works and the Urban Institute’s Outcome Indicators Project. KDK-Harman Foundation looks to expand this list as we continue to find other common indicators in all of the areas we support. Please note that grantees are not required to use these indicators as other measures may certainly be more appropriate to the program.
