ABOUT OUR GRANTS Grants Process
Grants Process Print E-mail

Step One: All applicants must complete a Letter of Inquiry, a downloadable file posted on the Central Texas Education Funders (CTEF) website. Letters of Inquiry ("LOI") are to be from the executive director of the nonprofit organization. LOI's must be submitted electronically. Foundation staff will review submitted Letters of Inquiry and respond in a timely manner. The Foundation will send an email either inviting you to submit a grant application for further consideration or declining your LOI request. Letters of Inquiry are accepted any time throughout the year, and organizations can submit more than one LOI per year. However, we do have deadlines for each board meeting.  Below are the deadlines for the LOI with the corresponding board meeting:

  •    LOI due February 24, 2012 for March 2012 board meeting
  •   LOI due June 29, 2012 for July 2012 board meeting
  •   LOI due November 2, 2012 for December 2012 board meeting

Step Two: If you are invited to submit a Grant Application, please download the file posted on the CTEF website. All grant applications must be submitted electronically. A site visit will be scheduled as part of the review process.  Organizations can only submit one application per year.  Below are the deadlines for the application with the corresponding board meeting:

  •  Application due March 9, 2012 for March 2012 board meeting
  •  Application due July 13, 2012 for July 2012 board meeting
  •  Application due November 16, 2012 for December 2012 board meeting

Decisions on all grant applications are made at the board meetings. Funds are disbursed typically within 30 days of board approval, once the grant contract and evaluation plan have been executed.
