FIRST QUARTER 2010 GRANTS ANNOUNCED
 
KDK-Harman Foundation awards local education-focused nonprofits $165,000
this 1st quarter. Grant recipients were as follows:
 
MIND Research Institute: In support of the North Central Texas Math Initiative to continue expansion of ST Math + Music: $50,000.
Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas: To pilot a summer and after-school tutoring program, Texas AIMS, for academically struggling students using the Sylvan tutor model: $25,000.
Foundation Communities: To support quality, academic summer and afterschool programming within its affordable housing communities: $25,000.
Girlstart: To support expansion of academic afterschool programming in Williamson County and external evaluation of programming: $25,000.
Heart House: For general operating purposes and expansion planning: $40,000.
